Features of the organization of education for children with disabilities in additional general education programs using distance learning technologies

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of the organization of training in additional general education programs using distance learning technologies for children with disabilities. Distance educational technologies allow children with special needs to receive education. The article presents the experience of working with children with disabilities organized in a distance school in Kaliningrad. The method of project activity used in the educational process is characterized as an effective method of socialization of disabled children and early career guidance. The article describes the components of the organization of the distance learning process. The need for the formation of specialized teaching methods, in accordance with the characteristics of children’s health and their nosologies, is shown. The special role of parents in the organization and maintenance of the learning process is indicated. Their involvement and motivation is one of the factors for obtaining a successful education. Recommendations on the effective building of relationships between teacher — parent — student are given. A special individual approach to each student, building trusting relationships is the key to better assimilation of the material and productivity in the independent work of students. The role of the teacher in distance learning is analyzed. In the new realities of distance education, the role of the teacher is expanding significantly and teachers need to constantly improve their professional competencies.
