Abstract

This article examines specialized education as a key direction to modernization of current school education, designed to bridge the gap between fundamental academic preparation and the real needs of the economy. The authors analyze the phenomenon of specialized system of education not only in organizational, but also in a content aspect, substantiating its high social and pedagogical significance: specialization of education contributes to the choice of a future profession, reduces the risk of academic overload through in-depth study of priority subjects, and increases the motivation of high school students. Using the example of Krasnodar Krai, the article demonstrates how regional educational policy flexibly adapts federal trends to the needs of the local labor market and economy, taking into account both the specifics of agro-industrial development and the development of resort and tourism spheres. The paper presents statistical data on spreading specialized classes in the region, demonstrating a steady increase in their numbers. It also describes in detail current specialized directions — from technology and natural sciences to socioeconomics and the humanities — and reveals the mechanisms of networked interaction among schools, leading universities, and large enterprises in the region, enabling the development of individualized educational pathways. Particular attention is paid to new approaches to organizing specialized education in the context of the updated federal state educational standard for secondary general education. The implementation of these approaches opens up opportunities for modular programs, project-based activities, and early career guidance, transforming school into a comprehensive starting foundation for graduates’ future careers.
