Technology testing of the textographic template application in a History lesson: methodological experience of trainee students

Abstract. The authors of the article explore the methodological basis for implementing the technology of converting various information into visual supports offered to pupils of 7–9 grades in History lessons. The ability to analyze and systematize information, present it in a transformed way that is convenient for memorization is one of the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for History, which the authors note and practically study, relying on the practical experience of students during pedagogical practice. A databank of textographic templates was offered to students of the MPSU (Moscow Pedagogical State University) branch by the «Digital Foresight» teacher school, which has also become a platform for discussing the implementation of the technology by various teachers, including students of the MPSU branch in Chernyakhovsk. The advantages of technology include efficiency in developing the skills to analyze, classify, highlight the main thing, detect cause-and-effect relationships, and formulate conclusions. Visual supports help with historical concepts, chronology, spatial representations, and cultural issues in History lessons. The problems of students mastering the technology include the inability to offer pupils a clear algorithm of actions with the template and track it during the lesson, the lack of continuity of work with the template in subsequent lessons, difficulties in selecting criteria for evaluating such a work.
