Methodological and didactic potential of Kaliningrad architectural semiotics

Abstract. This article is devoted to the consideration of actual methodological and didactic issues in the field of architectural semiotics of Kaliningrad and the Kaliningrad region. The Kaliningrad region can be classified as a multicultural space in the sense that cultural and architectural semiotics of the past and present are intertwined and coexist here. This regional component is an important aspect in the educational process. Rich and diverse historical, cultural and architectural heritage of the Amber Region can be the object of research projects in various academic disciplines in secondary professional and higher education. The aim of this article is to identify the main directions of development of the methodological base in the process of didactization of objects of architectural heritage of the Kaliningrad region. The article describes the main architectural styles that are represented and preserved in the region. The historical and sociocultural significance of architectural monuments, their explicit and hidden resources as educational objects within the framework of organizing and conducting monointerdisciplinary research projects are revealed. By referring to the language of architectural semiotics in the educational process in the context of the “dialogue of cultures” and “dialogue of civilizations”, it is possible to promote the development of special knowledge, taking into account interdisciplinary connections, as well as Kaliningrad selfidentity, without which further development and the future of the region is impossible.
