Use of local history materials in the mathematical education

Abstract. The article considers the issue of the mathematical education based on the possibility of the implementation of interdisciplinary connections. The significant moment is studying a native region with the help of author non-standard tasks which encourage the development of logical thinking. The integration of mathematics and local history is presented in the article. The types of non-standard tasks, the use of them in class and during extracurricular activities are considered. The text includes a description of the main requirements on the creation of authors tasks which should be followed by such active participants of this process as students. The examples of non-standard tasks which require excellent knowledge of many school subjects especially history and geography are given. The ways of solving mathematical tasks solutions of finding a pattern, magical squires, arithmetical tasks, including historical facts, geographical objects, sights of the Kaliningrad region in their content are proposed. This paper is a beginning of the project activity for strong-willed students being keen on mathematics. The article gives examples of using local history material in the study of the course “Probability and Statistics”, which help in the development of functional literacy. The article considers the possibilities of educating the personality of a citizen-patriot of the native country, possessing universal cognitive and regulatory actions, which are the main requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards.
