Regional material as a means of forming a personality-developing educational environment
Abstract. The article deals with the issue of using materials of regional content as the basis for spiritual and moral education and ethno-cultural one, the formation of an educational environment integrated into the surrounding reality. The Kaliningrad region is a special historical and cultural region where history and modernity, national and religious cultures of different peoples are intertwined. It is important to study a new material on application tasks, containing problematic questions close to the understanding of the student, from his familiar environment, attracting his life experience. Education, taking into account regional content, reveals a wide range of opportunities for a delicate familiarization of children and youth to the History and modern development of the Kaliningrad region. Teachers who include the information about the place of residence of their students in the lesson preserve the value ideas of Russian educational traditions. Based on a survey conducted among students and teachers, the analysis of their interest in classes using local history information was made. On the one hand, the interest of children, their desire to consider the studied disciplines through the analysis of regional aspects, the activation of cognitive activity was revealed. On the other hand, the reasons that make it difficult for teachers to carry out work in this direction are analyzed. The potential of educational local history is revealed, ways of including local history material in the activities of an educational organization are proposed.
