Organization of work with the English borrowed vocabulary in Primary school as a condition of the formation of speech culture of pupils
Abstract. The article actualizes the problem of unconscious use by younger students of English-language borrowings as a consequence of insufficient lexical work with Anglicisms in Primary school due to a large flow of English vocabulary in Russian language over the past years, as well as the deficiency or absence of educational tasks and exercises aimed at studying new borrowings in educational and methodical sets for primary schools. The work with borrowed English vocabulary in classes is considered as a condition of the formation of speech culture of younger students, since it is aimed at mastering students the norms of Russian literary language, including the correct use of Anglicism and avoiding the usage of new foreign language borrowings in speech, when their Russian analogues replacement is possible.
It is proposed to develop a lesson, which can be held in fourth grade as a part of extracurricular activities in the Russian language, as well as the subject week of the Russian language for the general representation of younger students about new English language borrowings, the reasons and ways of their penetration into the Russian language, familiarizing with their lexical meaning, Russian-speaking analogues and the appropriate use of Anglicisms in speech.
