Criteria-based assessment of the student’s civil competence level

Abstract. The article substantiates the relevance of the issues of the civic education at the present stage of the development of Russian society. It summarizes the experience of the formation of the civic competence among schoolchildren. The paper provides the basic principles that should underlie the assessment of the achieved level of the civic competence. The content of the concept of the civil competence in the light of the updated GEF, indicators of the level of its development are clarified. The author’s method of diagnostics of the achieved level of the student’s civil competence is given.
