Some psychological and ethical aspects of the pedagogical plagiarism
Abstract. The article deals with the psychological and ethical aspects of the phenomenon of the plagiarism found in written texts — products of scientific and methodological creativity of teachers. The article describes the forms of the plagiarism, analyzes the psychological prerequisites for plagiarism situations, and examines the psychological and ethical consequences of the plagiarism for its subjects. The contractual plagiarism of the written texts is considered separately as a situation of mutual consent of the author of the texts and the subject issuing this text as his own one. The results of a pilot empirical study of the problem are presented and discussed. Conclusions are drawn about the nature of the effect of situations of contracted plagiarism, and some recommendations are given.
