The lesson of extracurricular reading in the 10-th grade “St. Petersburg: Centuries crossing“

Abstract. The readers are proposed the abstract of the extracurricular reading lesson. This lesson provides the formation of cross-subject skills of working with information. This material helps the 10-th graders to master the text analyzing abilities, to broaden and deepen the understanding of St. Petersburg’s image in the works of different literary epochs. Individual, team and front forms of teaching are planned to reach the goal. The lesson is based on the critical thinking technology, the problem-solved technology, the development education, the student-centered training approach. It gives the opportunity to compare, generalize facts and display student’s creative potential.
