Improvement of the methods of teaching Physics on the basis of the analysis of monitoring procedures

Abstract. The article analyzes the problems of natural science literacy of Russian schoolchildren, identified by the integrated objective system for assessing the educational achievements of schoolchildren built in the Russian Federation, which includes Organization of Economic Collaboration and Development (OECD), International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement( IEA), All-Russian verification works (RVW), Unified State Exam (USE) and Main State Exam (MSE). Based on the results of these studies, the author examines the directions for improving the methods of teaching Physics and gives the examples of tasks that allow students to develop Natural Science literacy in Physics lessons.
