Professional development based on the pedagogical activity research
Abstract. The article discusses the methodology of action research and its usage in the organization of advanced teacher training. This methodology offers the teacher a step-by-step algorithm for testing theoretical knowledge transmitted in the process of advanced training, in practical activities. The main objective of the article is to present a step-by-step algorithm for conducting a practical research project, which can be offered to teachers after completing advanced training courses. The project is carried out with the aim of developing reflective skills and professional independence of the teacher in choosing new methods and forms of work for testing them in their practice. The main conditions for the development and implementation of the practical research project are the work of teachers in small groups, following a step-bystep algorithm and presentation of the results. The project will differ from scientific research in its practical orientation and the presence of a formulated practical research question for a group of participants to solve a specific professional difficulty. To get an answer to the project question, teachers develop a technological map of the lesson for their category of students, conduct it and carry out observations according to pre-developed criteria. The practical significance of using the action research methodology in the organization of professional development activities lies in the fact that it forms by the teacher the habit of considering any training as an opportunity to solve professional difficulties and cultivates the need for preliminary testing of any theoretical knowledge in the practice.
