Particularities of teachers activities in the digital educational environment (on the example of the Kaliningrad region)
Abstract. The complex implementation of the Federal project «Digital Educational Environment» in the Kaliningrad region by 2022 has reached a special form — enriching the educational institutions with computer equipment, development of infrastructure for connecting to the Internet, providing the availability of services and content of the federal platform. New learning tools, having become available to teaching staff, impose special requirements to their ICT competencies. A special request is being formed to the systems of advanced training teachers’ self-education. The digital educational environment, where participants of the educational process become a part of it, forms new roles.
The authors in their article analyze the behavioral aspects of teaching staff in the digital educational environment and share the results of a survey conducted among teachers «Digital educational environment: usage in the educational process». The article presents an analysis of the competencies of teachers in the following areas: general ideas about the digitalization of education, methodological work (readiness for it) in the Digital Educational Environment, the use of Digital Educational Environment tools in the educational process, conditions for the use of Digital Educational Environment. The article also presents the identified deficits of teaching staff. It could become a basis for adjusting the content of professional development programs.
