Problems of the modern pedagogical terminology

Abstract. The changes affecting to the term-system of pedagogical science are analyzed in the article. Four problems of the current pedagogical terminology are identified through the analysis of the scientific works: 1) polyvalence of the pedagogical terms or polisemy of the pedagogical terminology; 2) Russian term-system of Pedagogics enriching with foreign borrowings; 3) doubling or synonymy of pedagogical concepts; 4) nonconformity between the content of the concepts in normative documents and the scientific concepts. As the illustration of the problems of modern pedagogical terminology there are such concepts as “Teacher’ professional proficiency”, “upbringing”, “facilitator”, “mind map”, “tutor”. Furthermore, the author has presented the factors of the origin of the problems of the pedagogical terminology.
