“Access points” is a tool for teaching children with visual impairments to read and write
Abstract. This article describes the problem of motivation of people with visual impairments to study literacy. The author emphasizes the important role of eyesight in human life. The article describes the main obstacles in teaching a child with visual impairments and a tool that can overcome these barriers. It is a special set which contributes to learning Braille. At the same time, the article highlights the so-called “Braille literacy crisis” and the project that can solve it. The author emphasizes the importance and relevance of the Access Points project, developed specifically for teaching children with visual impairments to read and write.
