Organizational and methodological support of school theatres in the Kaliningrad region
Abstract. In connection with the requirement for the establishment of children’s theatrical communities in each general education institution of the Russian Federation from January 1, 2024, issues concerning the organizational and methodological support of school theaters have become particularly relevant. Primarily, it is associated with rethinking of the concept of theatrical activity applying it to school theatre, with an emphasis on the nurturing component as a leading role. It is essential to note that recently established theatre groups require special support. They need assistance with staffing and the substantive content of theatrical activities. This article attempts to describe an experience of organizational and methodological support for school theatres in the Kaliningrad region. It includes a range of activities aimed at enhancing professional competencies of school theatrical educators and creating conditions for the creative development and self-realization of students. The approach has proved its effectiveness and availability for reproduction in rapidly changing conditions. The materials presented in the article will be of interest to representatives of the executive authorities in the field of education, regional methodological authorities, and principals of school theatre studios.
