Implementation of the set of visual didactic aids «Time Machine» for the formation of time representation of preschool children: the experience of the kindergarten No. 7 «Semitsvetik» in Guryevsk, Kaliningrad Region

Abstract. Mastering time categories by preschool children is an obligatory part of the educational activities of a preschool organization, while the choice of effective teaching aids is a complicated task for many teachers, since they need to have an ability to assess whether the selected teaching aid is suitable for solving the educational tasks.
This article presents the examples of the use of visual aids for the formation of preschool children time representation, used by teachers of the kindergarten No. 7 «Semitsvetik» in Guryevsk, Kaliningrad Region.
The authors have considered the possibility of practical application of a set of visual didactic materials named «Time Machine» by teachers of preschool educational organizations. It systematizes and summarizes visual aids for the formation of preschool children time representations. The results of the work done by using these materials practically are presented, confirming the level of formation of children’s time representation. It is shown that the absorption of time representation of children visiting a kindergarten through the usage of the visual didactic aid «Time Machine» contributes to the development of mental processes. The conducted study allows to conclude that the presented visual materials comply with the requirements of the Federal Educational Program for Preschool Education. In addition, the use of these materials can be recommended to parents for reinforcement of the development of children’s time representations.
