Practical implementation of taking into account students’ individual characteristics at labor (technology) lessons in the formation of subject competencies
Abstract. This article presents the results of implementing an approach that takes into account the individual characteristics of students in labor (technology) lessons when mastering subject competencies. The article also analyzes the effectiveness of the author’s individualized tasks, developed taking into account the peculiarities of the leading perceptual modality. The effectiveness of using this approach in the learning process was assessed through the diagnosis of a number of indicators: the level of educational motivation, the formation of cognitive independence and the level of students’ academic achievements. A detailed theorization of the studied problems in the framework of the research is presented: the role of the competence-based approach in the modern education system and its normative regulation, the prerequisites of the necessity of individualization of the educational process, as well as psychophysiological features of the perception process among various categories of students. During conducting theoretical study, the following practical implementation of the findings was carried out: a set of lesson plans and notes was developed, including tasks aimed at taking into account the individual characteristics of the leading channel of students (audials, visuals, kinesthetics); a detailed analysis of the data obtained during empirical studies of the application of this approach was carried out; methodological recommendations for taking into account the individual characteristics of students for teachers and parents are presented and tested. Conclusions are formulated on the feasibility of using an individualized approach in labor (technology) lessons of the 5th grade.
